Hire Google Cloud engineers from a certified Google Cloud Partner.
TekRecruiter is a Google Cloud recruiting agency focused solely on technology and engineering roles at tech and SaaS companies. We’re a certified Google Cloud Partner led by a Professional Cloud Architect, so you hire engineers who have run GKE, BigQuery and IAM in production on Google Cloud, not AWS engineers relabeled for the posting. Trusted by teams at
Google Cloud talent is a smaller, data-heavy pool.
Fewer engineers run Google Cloud in production than AWS, and many Google Cloud roles center on data and AI: BigQuery, GKE and Vertex AI. Posting a generic "cloud engineer" role pulls AWS résumés. We search for engineers who have run GCP itself, and we tell you early when an AWS or Azure engineer who can cross over is the faster hire.
Certified Google Cloud Partner
Founder Ron Smith is a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and runs technical intake himself.
Contract DevOps, SRE and platform bill rate, 2026
South Florida $109, Boston $116, New York $120, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.1
To start a Google Cloud consultant
Contract consultants can start in as little as three days, after you have interviewed them.
The Google Cloud talent we place.
GCP platform and DevOps engineers
GKE, Cloud Run, VPC and IAM, managed through Terraform and Cloud Build or other CI/CD.
Google Cloud architects
Organization and project hierarchy, networking, security controls and migration plans onto Google Cloud.
BigQuery and data engineers
Pipelines on BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub and Dataproc, with the modeling and cost control a warehouse needs.
Vertex AI and ML engineers
Engineers who train, deploy and monitor models on Vertex AI and build LLM features on Google’s models.
Who our Google Cloud searches are built for.
- Companies already on Google Cloud that need engineers who know GKE, BigQuery and IAM as they work on GCP.
- Data and AI teams building analytics or models on BigQuery and Vertex AI.
- Migrations onto Google Cloud that need an architect to plan and engineers to build.
- Google Workspace administration. We recruit engineers who build on Google Cloud, not IT admins.
- A fully outsourced migration. Our engineers work under your management.
- Paying a GCP premium you do not need. If a cross-cloud engineer fits, we will say so.
Why Google Cloud searches go wrong.
Google Cloud has a smaller, more data-heavy talent pool than AWS. These are the misses we hear about most.
- 01
AWS résumés for a GCP role.
A generic cloud posting fills with engineers who have never set up a resource hierarchy.
- 02
One BigQuery project, listed as GCP.
Warehouse work, but no GKE, networking or IAM behind it.
- 03
A query bill nobody modeled.
On-demand BigQuery charges by data scanned, and skipped partitioning and clustering get expensive fast.
- 04
Holding out for a GCP purist.
For infrastructure roles, a strong AWS or Azure engineer often ramps quickly; not every search needs GCP-only experience.

Knowing the console is not running production.
We walk each candidate through a Google Cloud environment they built or ran: how projects and networks were laid out, what the data platform looked like, what it cost and what broke. The technical intake is led by a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, and every engineer we present meets our HEART standard.
- Real GCP depth: GKE, BigQuery and IAM in production, not a certification lab.
- Data platform judgment: partitioning, clustering and query cost on BigQuery.
- Infrastructure as code: Terraform-managed projects, not hand-built ones.
- Cross-cloud range: what they would carry over from AWS or Azure, and what they would not.

The HEART standard
What we look for beyond skills and experience, in every candidate we present.
- High agencyPeople who see what needs to be done and act without waiting to be told.
- ExecutionPeople who turn ideas into results.
- AccountabilityPeople who own the outcome, not just their piece of the work.
- ResourcefulnessPeople who figure things out when the answer isn’t obvious.
- TransparencyPeople who communicate clearly, honestly, and early.
Which Google Cloud profile do you need?
Four skill sets sit under "Google Cloud." Most GCP searches are data or AI searches in disguise, so we scope this first.
| Platform / DevOps engineer | Cloud architect | BigQuery / data engineer | Vertex AI / ML engineer | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| What they do | Build and run GCP infrastructure | Design the environment and the migration | Build and operate the data platform | Train, deploy and monitor models |
| Core services | GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, VPC, IAM | Resource hierarchy, Shared VPC, security controls | BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Composer | Vertex AI, Gemini models, feature and model pipelines |
| Tooling we screen | Terraform, Cloud Build or other CI/CD, Kubernetes | Landing zones, migration plans, cost models | SQL, Python, Beam or Spark, dbt | Python, ML frameworks, evaluation and monitoring |
| Typical engagement | Contract, contract-to-hire or direct hire | Direct hire, or contract for a migration | Direct hire or contract-to-hire | Direct hire or contract-to-hire |
| Best for | Running production on GKE | Moving onto Google Cloud | Analytics on BigQuery | AI products on Google Cloud |

What clients say.
Google Cloud hiring questions, answered.
Are you a Google Cloud partner?
Yes. TekRecruiter is a certified Google Cloud Partner, and founder Ron Smith is a Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect. He leads the technical intake on Google Cloud searches.
Why is it hard to hire Google Cloud engineers?
The pool is smaller than AWS, and many engineers who list GCP used it for one data project. Generic cloud postings pull AWS résumés. We search for engineers who ran Google Cloud in production and screen on the environment they built.
Can an AWS engineer do a Google Cloud job?
Often, for infrastructure roles: Kubernetes, Terraform and networking carry over, and a strong AWS engineer can be productive on GCP within weeks. For BigQuery-heavy data roles and Vertex AI work, we recommend GCP experience. We tell you which applies during intake.
What does a contract Google Cloud engineer cost?
In TekRecruiter’s 2026 contract placements, DevOps, SRE and platform engineers billed about $109 an hour in South Florida, $116 in Boston and $120 in New York, across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. These are bill rates, covering the consultant’s pay and our fee. See the 2026 Tech Salary & Rate Guide.
Do you recruit BigQuery data engineers?
Yes. We place data engineers who build pipelines on BigQuery, Dataflow and Pub/Sub, and we screen them on query cost and data modeling as well as code. See data and analytics engineering.
Can we hire Google Cloud engineers nearshore?
Yes. We place English-fluent cloud and data engineers in Latin America who work US hours, at about 50% lower cost than US hires. See nearshore engineering.
What is the HEART standard?
HEART is the standard we screen every candidate against, beyond skills: high agency, execution, accountability, resourcefulness and transparency. It describes people who take ownership, turn ideas into results and move the business forward. See the standard.
